Vietnamese Specialty Coffee Meets Plant Based Innovation in London Coffee Week

Vietnamese Specialty Coffee Meets Plant Based Innovation in London Coffee Week

What happens when bold Vietnamese specialty coffee meets one of the world’s favourite plant based milk brands?

Probably something slightly chaotic. But very delicious.

For London Coffee Week 2026, ZeroToOne partnered with Sproud to create a limited edition coffee experience designed to challenge how people think about Vietnamese coffee in London.

Vietnamese coffee is often misunderstood as being only strong, dark, or overly sweet. At ZeroToOne, our mission has always been to show another side of Vietnamese specialty coffee. High quality robusta and arabica from Vietnam can be complex, modern, fruit-forward, chocolatey, and surprisingly perfect for specialty coffee drinks.

This collaboration with Sproud became the perfect opportunity to explore exactly that.

New London Coffee Week Drinks at ZeroToOne

Created exclusively for London Coffee Week, we launched two special drinks at our Vietnamese specialty coffee shop near Liverpool Street, Shoreditch.

☕ Vietnamese Salted Coffee
Inspired by the famous salted coffee from Huế, Vietnam. Sweet, creamy, lightly savoury, and dangerously easy to finish in under 3 minutes.

☕ Miso Butter Latte
A comforting latte combining espresso, buttery sweetness, subtle umami notes, and velvety texture. Slightly confusing in theory. Surprisingly addictive in reality.

Both drinks were designed to highlight how well Vietnamese specialty coffee pairs with high quality plant based milk.

Why Vietnamese Coffee Works So Well With Plant Based Milk

One of the biggest misconceptions about Vietnamese coffee is that it is “too strong” for alternative milk.

Actually, high quality Vietnamese robusta naturally has deep chocolate flavours, lower acidity, fuller body, and creamy texture. Which means it pairs incredibly well with plant based milk for espresso drinks.

Sproud’s smooth texture allowed the coffee to stay bold while creating a balanced and creamy cup without overpowering the flavour of the beans.

In short:
Vietnamese coffee and plant based milk are a much better duo than people expect.
