The Viet Kit
The Viet Kit
The Viet Kit is an invitation to slow down and brew Vietnamese coffee with intention, honouring tradition while embracing a more modern expression at home.
This curated set pairs one 200g pack of ZeroToOne coffee with a beautifully crafted Vietnamese phin brewer in Red or Ivory. Together, they allow you to experience Vietnamese coffee through two distinct brewing paths: a classic phin drip, and a faster, paper-filtered approach with added clarity.
Brew It Traditionally
Using the phin without a paper filter, the traditional method produces a bold, comforting cup with depth and weight, the way Vietnamese coffee has been enjoyed for generations.
For this style, we recommend:
- G.O.T Fine Robusta – XL: rich, syrupy, and full-flavoured. Perfectly paired with condensed milk to make the iconic Vietnamese Cà Phê Sữa.
- Natural Catimor: balanced and gently fruity, ideal for those who enjoy their coffee classic and black.
These coffees shine when brewed slowly, delivering body, sweetness, and a grounding sense of familiarity, whether enjoyed black or with milk.
Brew It the Modern Way
Add a Kalita Wave 155 paper filter to the phin (not included), and the brew becomes faster, cleaner, and more refined. This modern approach highlights clarity and delicacy, offering a lighter, more expressive cup.
For this style, we recommend:
- Pink Honey Catimor: expect tasting notes of green apple, mixed berries, and juicy sweetness.
- Double Washed Catimor: expect tasting notes of citrus fruits, green apple, and a tea-like finish.
These coffees reward a more contemporary brew, revealing subtle flavours and a smoother, lingering finish.
